As soon as your vehicle has been prepared by UVS for export, and all documentation is in

place, we will email you and your nominated agent copies of all relevant paperwork. 

Thereafter, the vehicle will be loaded on a carrier and enter at Nakop border post. 

It is important to have all relevant documentation, permits, and duty/taxes payments processed prior to the arrival in order to avoid any unnecessary issues and complications. All original vehicle documents are either couriered to you prior to dispatch, or handed to you or your clearing agent by the car carrier driver.

Namibia Import Regulations

Age restrictions:

Cars must not be more than eight years old.

Right-hand drive vehicles:

All cars must be right-hand drive.

Import permits:

Cars should not be shipped until you have an import permit. To import the vehicle, all documentation must be completed and presented to the Customs Department together with your passport so that Customs can attest the CA304a. Once the bill of entry has been endorsed by Customs, this document must be presented to the Motor License Department for issuing of the licence.

• Passport.
• Original Bill of Lading.
• Registration papers.
• Invoice.

Taxes And Duties:

Taxes and Duties ranging between 15% and 30% are due on the value of a vehicle being imported.
