Receive a quote
We'll send you a CIF quote, inclusive of VAT refunds as an upfront discount.

Invoice and payment
Accept the CIF quote and we'll issue a Proforma Invoice detailing the purchase and logistical information, including dispatch estimates. Review it, make your payment, and send us proof so we can place a small holding deposit with the dealership to secure your vehicle.

Official dealership quote
Upon payment, we provide the dealership with necessary documents, receiving an official purchase offer and invoice in return.

Payment and insurance
After payment is processed with the dealer, we start export preparations. Your vehicle is insured under our Motor Policy until delivery. For ocean freight, we quote Marine Insurance separately; however, your vehicle remains covered until it's containerised. We collect all necessary original documents from the dealership to begin the export.

Preparation for export
We conduct vehicle inspections, process documentation, and arrange export permits. You must request any additional documents in advance.

Logistics and dispatch
We book your vehicle on a car carrier and send you a booking confirmation, detailing the shipment. After preparing all documents, permits, and paperwork, we email you and your local clearing agent the required export documents. Originals, along with valuable items like remotes and keys, are couriered to you with a tracking number.

Delivery
UVS and your local clearing agent will contact you with details of your vehicle delivery and arrival. Your clearing agent will manage pre-arrival processes for a smooth delivery. Congratulations on your new purchase!

Once I have confirmed a vehicle and agreement with the dealer on price what is the next step?

Answer

A full CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) Proforma invoice will be emailed to you, which is usually the necessary document required by all banks to make Forex payments.

What information will Proforma Invoice have?

Answer

Proforma invoice are official documents. Reference will be made to the vehicle details, price break down, consignee/ buyer details and shipping mode and terms. Our company details with our company official registration number will be mentioned on the invoice. For your convenience our bank account details will be duly mentioned on the invoice.

My vehicle has departed South Africa, what now?

Answer

Prior to departure we prepare all necessary documents for the vehicle and export and duly email soft copies to you, which you or your nominated agent will require to clear the vehicle. All originals and vehicle loose valuables are either brought with the carrier driver or couriered direct to you before despatch.

When will my vehicle arrive at the port? What is the actual date of arrival?
